[Political] RTS debate: Student List’s Baucal says Kosovo’s status is “a matter of negotiation” — In the RTS programme “Takovska 10” on 13 October, Student List representative Aleksandar Baucal said Kosovo’s status is “a matter of negotiation” and that citizens must sometimes “fight against their own state” to secure their rights; he also said the list will not impose sanctions on Russia but that foreign-policy alignment with the EU is itself “a matter of negotiation”. Ana Brnabić (Vučić’s “United Serbia” list) answered that for her list Kosovo is not negotiable and that the two positions on sanctions contradict each other. Pro-government outlets present the exchange as an admission that the Student List would recognise Kosovo and works against the state; the Politika account places Baucal’s “state” remark in a critique of how institutions treat citizens. Event date: 13 October 2026.

[Political] Student List sues Electoral Commission (RIK) over diaspora polling stations — The Student List says it filed complaints with the Administrative Court because RIK did not decide its objection within the legal 72 hours. It argues that RIK, not the Foreign Ministry, sets polling stations abroad, and that its schedule would have voters in Chicago, New York, Australia and New Zealand vote between roughly 1–2 a.m. and 6 a.m. local time instead of 7:00–20:00. The list also filed freedom-of-information requests with the Foreign Ministry. No RIK response is given in the articles. Event date: 13 October 2026.

[Political] Security guards at Vučić’s Zaječar rally block journalists; EU delegation voices concern over incidents — SNS security stopped TV Nova reporter Katarina Golubović and a Glas Zaječara crew from covering the 13 October rally, calling them a “security threat” and citing lack of accreditation, which Nova says it had properly requested. The media association ANEM said a guard hit the Glas Zaječara camera and listed similar cases in Kragujevac, Bečej, Ruma, Zrenjanin and Niš. Separately the EU Delegation said it is following the campaign closely, is concerned about reported incidents and expects journalists and observers to be protected. At the same rally Vučić said his opponents can only win through “something terrible”, such as a terrorist act or his killing. Event date: 13 October 2026.

[Political] Ex-SNS activist alleges paid groups and vote buying in Novi Sad; BRAVO demands prosecutors act — The civic movement BRAVO asked prosecutors to investigate testimony published by BIRN from Momčilo Marjanović, a former Novi Sad SNS activist.
